DOGDAY AFTERNOON

a sunny morning, rise and shine
the reddish sun is in its prime,
buckle up, dogday afternoon comes
burns you from your inside, its pippin hot ,chum.

these summers, suck you up
mercury soars, warmth profusion,
dripping sweat, mind confusion
drives you up on the wall, downs your system.

you crave for night, when the hardship ends,
the ordeal is done, and time is for celebration
spirits high and you feel awesome
no hangovers of the dog day sensation.

revel and make merry of existence,
the mere joy that you lived through this circumstance,
you value the night because the day was hard pressed,
makes you feel bliss as if you were particularly blessed
