1]Talk to your group as soon as you read the mostly alphabetical groupings. It helps. Our GD was perfect because I talked to everyone and declared myself moderator and also appointed a vice moderator to cut me or others short when I don't notice it (helped a LOT) Another group with 2 of y friends in it was the worst chaotic GD they ever had for all 18 minutes. I felt bad for them. A very well natured couple of friends were screaming in it and gesticulating violently!
2]First five votes for one topic => Select the topic then and there. Do NOT let the votes tie at 5-5. Chaos may ensue.
3] trend I noticed was that the first 8 members of a group were ALL having stress interviews. But last two candidates of each group were not having it.

my SOP, some questions on general concepts of economics and food price inflation, some questions on my educational background (Bachelors in Commerce) and questions about the city I am from. Being a fresher, majority of the questions asked by the panel was on academics.
y interview generally revolved around my work experience, positions assumed in the tenure and the learning gathered by working. I was also asked about my educational background, my hobbies and my views on the then current political unrest in the Middle- Eastern countries of Libya and Egypt
current occupation and the understanding he has about the industry and the organisation that he works for.
Your hobbies are also deeply probed by the panel, leaving a candidate little or no room to give false or pretentious answers. For example: A student who mentions reading as a hobby is expected to have read a vast array of books and needs to have deeper perspective about the issues touched upon in all that he has read so far.

NMIMS interviews generally revolve around current affairs and overall general awareness. The aspirants are advised to read leading newspapers and relevant magazines and thereby develop an understanding and have a point of view on all current situations to elaborate on.
Every student joining NMIMS also has to go through a 3 – week NGO program (compulsory) in the month of January under the 'We Care' initiative and is expected to be sensitive to such social issues. You may also be asked certain questions on social challenges, CSR and issues affecting the societal well-being in general. They evaluate the candidates on the grounds of compassion and sensitivity shown towards such issues.
You are also expected to have an exceptionally clear understanding on your career goals and vision. Maximum emphasis is laid on questions involving your introduction and the goals in your life. Having above average communication skills is an added benefit and every candidate should try and hone the same for the interview process.
